What is Nilvara?

Nilvara curates home decor for contemporary Egyptian homes: lighting, wall art, vases, sculptural pieces and decorative objects. What you get from us is a shorter list than a marketplace, and a reason attached to every piece on it.

How do you decide what to stock?

Design, material, finish and fit, in that order. We look for character, considered proportion, and a finish that holds up when you see it close. Then we ask whether it works in a real Egyptian home rather than only in a photograph. If a piece does not improve the selection, we leave it out.

When will my order arrive?

We deliver across Egypt, usually the next day once your order is confirmed. We may call to confirm your details before dispatch. Larger or more delicate pieces sometimes need extra arrangements, and we will tell you before you order.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free in Cairo, Giza, 6th of October and Helwan. Everywhere else in Egypt is 100 EGP. You will always see it before you pay.

Can I pay cash on delivery?

Yes. Cash on delivery is available.

What if a piece is not right for my space?

You can request a return within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, provided the piece is unused and comes back in its original condition and packaging. Contact us with your order number first and we will guide you through it. Please wait for approval before sending anything back.

What if something arrives damaged or incorrect?

Tell us as soon as you can and send photos of the piece and its packaging. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, we cover the return or replacement delivery cost.

Can someone help me choose before I buy?

Yes, and it is a service in its own right. Send photographs of your room and its measurements, and we send back a layout showing which pieces we would place, where each one goes, and the reason for each choice.
